I received my advanced certification in Personal Training from the National Personal Training Institute, where I learned the latest techniques in exercise protocols, workout design, nutrition science, and how to deal with special needs, complications from physical disabilities, and chronic diseases. I have a great understanding of anatomy, exercise physiology, and the specific needs of women v. men in all life stages. My programs incorporate healthy nutrition with proper exercise in order to maximize your results.

My unique approach is designed to provide short term results and long term maintenance.

I’ve trained everyone from athletes to couch potatoes. I’m great with beginners, seniors, teens, soccer moms, and busy business executives. I’ll make sure you get the most effective workout in the shortest possible time so that you can get back to your busy schedule.

I have programs for building strength or adding muscle, full body toning, core and leg focused programs, and programs geared toward weight loss. If you’re looking for someone to help you make those changes that you have not been able to achieve on your own, I have the knowledge and experience to help you get you to your goals.

My workouts are complete, compact, and effective. My warm and friendly manner will put you at ease as I gently guide you through your workout routine, or kick your butt if that’s what you need! I have all the tools and “tricks” required to achieve success, all in the privacy of your own home.

I understand the difficulties in getting significant, lasting results. You didn’t get out of shape in one day and it will take a real commitment to achieve significant results. In 25 years of corporate management I've developed great coaching skills that I’ll use to help you overcome bad habits. I believe in the philosophy of knowledge transfer. It is my goal to provide you with the tools to continue on your own so that you can maintain the gains you’ve achieved and will continue to support you over time.

Dan's 5-Pronged Approach to Healthy Living

1. Regular Exercise

To care for the awesome mantel that we call our body, we need to stimulate and utilize it to its maximum potential, whatever that may be. Desire and effort are the keys to attainment of our individual capacity.

2. Healthy Eating Habits

The finest fuels are those that come in their most natural state. Feed your body quality fuel for optimum performance and efficient operation of all metabolic functions. Listen to your body, learn the signals, less can be more, but give your systems all they need.

Eat well, drink water, get adequate sleep

3. Positive Attitude

Our thoughts drive our actions which in turn create the reality in which we live. In order to realize success, we must live in the present and plan for the future. Keep your goals in mind and your actions will be in concert. Let go of the past, overlook the negative, and believe in yourself.

4. Interpersonal Connections

Life is about how we live in our community. Family, friends, and the greater community. Emotional health is nourished by the connections we make with those around us. Support, involvement, caring for others and good works will keep us all in good health.

5. Cognitive Stimulation

The mind is our most precious organ. Regular exercise is proven to help maintain your mental/cognitive faculties as you age. Lifelong learning stimulates your interest, keeps you vital, and brings insight and illumination.
